A considered fit
Start with the measurements and fit notes on the individual product page. Sizing can vary between styles; compare the garment measurements with a similar piece you already wear.
How to measure
Use a flexible tape, stand naturally and keep the tape level. Measure over light clothing without pulling the tape tight.
Chest or bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest or bust, keeping the tape under your arms and across your back.
Waist
Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest part of your torso.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Compare an existing garment
Lay a similar jacket or coat flat. Compare its chest width, shoulder width, sleeve length and overall length with the measurements provided for the style. A flat chest width is half the garment's circumference.
Allow room for layers
Think about what you will wear underneath. A coat worn over knitwear may need more room than a jacket worn over a light layer.
